Imagine how big the hook must have been! Incredibly rare 'Megamouth' shark is caught by fishermen in Japan

The one ton megamouth shark was snared in fishing nets off the Owase Port in Japan on Friday. The elusive creature was bought by a local fish monger and shipped outside the prefecture. 

Megamouth sharks have only been spotted 60 times since they were discovered in 1976, mostly in Japan, the Philippines and Taiwan.
