Weeping beauty: Ugly moment runner-up pageant queen snatches crown from winner's head and places it on her own before storming off stage

The embarrassing incident (pictured) was captured on camera at an annual beauty and traditional dance contest held in the city of Neiva, in the south-western Colombian department of Huila. 


The judges chose as the winner 20-year-old law student Valentina Bonilla Neira, who was awarded the title of 'The National Bambuco Queen' after a traditional Colombian music genre. But the runner-up, Yeimy Lizeth Silvestre Gamez, from the capital Bogota, was less than pleased about coming in second place and snatched the tiara off Valentina's head in protest.
