Bank Verification Number

The BVN is an electronic registration of customer’s personal details such as fingerprint, data capturing, etc. This helps to link the account numbers of a customer in more than one bank. It also helps to prevent frauds in ATM deposits and withdrawals. It prevent impersonation and irregular signatures. Few countries have adopted the bank verification number to deposit and withdraw money without an ATM card.
