Former TV reality star Josh Duggar has admitted to cheating on his wife and using internet pornography after his details were leaked from the hacked Ashley Madison affairs website. According to Gawker, hackers of the marital cheaters' website revealed that someone with a credit card belonging to Joshua J Duggar had active subscriptions from February 2013 to May 2015. The credit card allegedly even has a billing address that matches the home of Josh's grandmother Mary in Fayetteville, Arkansas—the same home that was consistently shown in "19 Kids and Counting" and where his wife Anna gave birth to their first child Mackynzie. He reportedly paid a total of $986.76 for two different monthly subscriptions with the user names "JOSH_THE_MAN" and "READY4THISDC." The birthdays he listed on his Ashley Madison accounts were Feb. 3, 1988 and March 2, 1988, which is just one month and one day off of his actual birthday, March 3, 1988. The two accounts overlap by a period of a few months. When the second account was set up, an initial payment of $250 was made, which gave the account an "affair guarantee" privilege. Customers who buy 1,000 credits for $250 receive a money-back "affair guarantee" if they don't have an affair within three months, the website explained. In a new statement released in light of this new information, Josh Duggar said: "I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife. "I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him. "I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust. "The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings. "As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example. "I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time." Parents Jim Bob and Michelle also released a statement: "When we learned of this late last night our hearts were broken. As we continue to place our trust in God we ask for your prayers for Josh, Anna, our grandchildren and our entire family." Duggar used to serve as the executive director of the Family Research Council, a conservative lobbying group in Washington DC which seeks "to champion marriage and family as the foundation of civilisation, the seedbed of virtue, and the wellspring of society." He had also been very vocal about his stance against same-sex marriage. Critics said it now appears that the personal image he projected in the past is different from his real persona as he has been linked to sexual abuse and now, adultery.
