7 year old with spina bifida dreams of being a beauty queen, beats 30 able-bodied children to win her first pageant

Lily Putman, seven, (pictured with her mother Lisa and brother Alex, left) is paralysed from the waist down after being born with the spinal condition. She entered the contest near her home in Southwick, Sussex and received a standing ovation when she was crowned the winner (right). Lisa said: 'She wasn't nervous at all and just blew everyone away - there wasn't a dry eye in the house.'
