How To Get Rid Of Scars

Scars are embarrassing and those gotten from acne can be covered up or permanently treated. Here are ways to do it
Use lemon
Vitamin C in lemon lightens dark scars on the skin. Lemon juice works as a natural bleach and reduces the appearance of scars and blemishes. Grab a lemon and squeeze out the juice, grab a cotton ball and dab it with the juice and massage the scars thoroughly. For best results, apply daily and let it stay on for approximately 20 minutes before washing it away with warm water. Do not expect results overnight as it takes a few weeks or months before you see any significant changes.
Exfoliate
Exfoliation is one of the most of effective ways to get rid of scars. Scrubbing speeds the healing and fading process by removing dead skin cells on the scars. Not only are dead skin cells washed away during this process, it allows for exposure and faster growth of new cells. Exfoliating may be harsh on the skin so, it is not advisable to do it every day.   Aside from helping to reduce the appearance of scars, an exfoliator can also help to keep the skin looking young.
Apply Vitamin E oil
Vitamin E is a good way of treating or reducing scars on the skin. You can buy a bottle of the liquid Vitamin E oil at any pharmacy or cosmetics store. The good thing about it is that you do not have to apply too much of the oil to get rid of the scars. A little goes a long way, and it’s always wise to try a bit on hidden spots first to check for sensitivity on the skin.
Enhance skin tone
A skin tone enhancer with Vitamin A can help to even out the skin tone and conceal any scar on the skin, while helping the skin heal from scars. In addition to helping scars, some skin toning products also work to combat the signs of ageing like wrinkles and fine lines. However, be sure the skin toner matches your skin tone and does not have harsh chemicals.
Avoid sunburn
One way to get rid of scars on the skin is to avoid it by preventing sunburn or protecting the skin from the sun. Either stay out of the sun for extended periods of time or use a sunscreen or moisturiser with a Sun Protection Factor of 30. Also, beware of the moisturisers you apply on the skin as some of them can increase sun sensitivity on the skin. If you already have scars on your skin, do not expose them to sunlight. Ultraviolet rays delay the healing process and discolour the scar, making it more noticeable.
