Wise leaders respond to ideas not insults. The man carrying an elephant on his head will fall if he tries to squash ants with his toe.

Nigeria needs politicians for whom politics is a vocation not an occupation, who make money from their businesses not the public treasury.

Even if temporarily limited in what you can do, at least be visible as a leader. Communicate with people in crisis times. Be seen. Be heard!

How Nigeria is treating us today is a reflection of how we have treated Nigeria yesterday. An over milked cow will collapse if not well fed.

The biggest illusion in politics is that occupying an elected or appointed office automatically makes you a leader. It doesn't #CommonSense

Fact of life-Your predecessor faced his predecessor's issues. You're facing your predecessor's issues. Your successor will face your issues.

Imagine that running a government is like driving a car. You make maximum progress if you use your windshield more than your rear mirror.

The more you attack your predecessor the higher the bar is set for you. Know how slippery a road is before knocking those who slipped on it.

Even the term 'opposition' is a misnomer borrowed from other political climes. I prefer 'alternative'. I'm an alternative not an opposition.

Nigeria is broke because we spend on consumption rather than on productive activities, on salaries instead of projects. We must flip that.

I urge leaders to remember that true elders plant trees of peace even when they know they may never benefit from the shades of those trees.

Except we build unity and interconnectedness amongst our youths, they will lag behind the world in technology, innovation and idea sharing.

Youths must understand that anybody who encourages them to fight and insult each other is not an elder or leader but an enemy of progress.
