Spanish officials find man hidden in a car engine, desperate to get to Europe

Clambering through barbed wire fences into Macedonia, hidden in a red-hot car engine (pictured main) and crammed onto overcrowded rubber dinghies (bottom right) in the Mediterranean Sea - migrants are proving they are prepared to do anything to get to western Europe. Train stations, including one in Salzburg, Austria (top right), are packed with migrants trying to board trains to Germany. In Budapest, one station was evacuated and angry migrants staged protests as the crisis continues to spiral out of control.
