2,000 Job Seekers Jostle For 100 Medical Jobs In Ekiti

About 2000 job seekers yesterday besieged the Ekiti State Hospitals Management Board for screening and job interview for 100 vacant positions.
The Permanent Secretary of the Board, Dr Kolawole Aina, said the applicants were jostling for 70 vacancies for medical doctors and the remaining 30 for nurses and other health sector workers.
Aina, who said job placement was an ongoing activity in the state to fill positions in consequential vacancies in the government health facilities, assured that merit and competence would be the determinant factors in the recruitment.
This, he said, was in view of the sensitive nature of the health sector.
