When the 11th Duke of Rutland's marriage broke down in 2012 following an illicit affair with a woman who lived on his 15,000-acre estate, his wife Emma (pictured, left, with the duke before their separation) made a surprising announcement. She declared that not only would she continue to live under the same roof at their marital home, Belvoir Castle (bottom right) in Leicestershire, but that both she and the duke (who have five children, including daughters Lady Violet, Lady Eliza and Lady Alice, top right) would do so with their respective new partners. However, the identity of the Duchess of Rutland's new lover has been a closely guarded secret - until now. For SEBASTIAN SHAKESPEARE can reveal that he is none other than her estate manager, Phil Burtt (pictured, centre, with the duchess).
