Mozilla has finally released Firefox for iOS devices worldwide, after keeping the browser client in preview since September, testing and making sure it perfectly syncs with the client on major OS platforms while iterating and integrating other key features.
The free browser allows users sync their bookmarks, history and open tabs across various devices. It also includes a private browsing mode and features visual tabs for easily finding previously visited websites
As is the rule of Apple, the Firefox browser runs Apple’s Webkit rendering engine to load pages instead to its own Gecko engine – Webkit powers Safari and Google Chrome and is the only allowed on iOS
