Food prices have skyrocketed in Juba after the government devalued the South Sudanese pound by 84 percent last December.
The South Sudanese pound is currently trading at the rate of 18 pounds per dollar.
Many small traders have been pushed out of business by high inflation and residents complain of high food prices.
Much of South Sudan’s food supplies are imported from neighbouring countries such as Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia.
