Marrianne Mercer, 32, from Kent, spent eight months handcrafting everything for her wedding from the cake to decorations such as a Mr & Mrs sign and confetti and saving an estimated £10,000 in the process.
Her mum helped out by making 300 metres of bunting and her veil and friends made pom poms to decorate the church (right). Marrianne - who married husband David Miall (left) in 2013, has now published a book My Handmade Wedding to share her DIY tips with other brides.
