THE Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 600 personnel to provide security coverage for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) starting today in all centres across the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Kareem Olanrewaju, made available to Saturday Tribune on Friday.
The statement had it that the command also deployed motorised patrol vehicles to strategic places to ensure quick response to any emergency or distress from any of the centres. Security agencies were also urged to cooperate and work in line with security arrangements on the ground.
The command warned all parents and guardians to stay clear of the centres by 200 metres.
