Passenger Airliner Carrying 180 People Veers Off The Runway At Birmingham Airport And Ends Up On Grass Verge After 'Manoeuvre' While Taxiing

The incident happened at Birmingham Airport and involved a Small Planet Airlines Airbus A320, which had flown to the UK from Paderborn, Germany. 

Emergency services were called to the scene (pictured) at 1.20pm yesterday, as the aircraft came to rest. 

All the passengers were taken off the plane and there were no reports of any injuries. Inset, is the aircraft on the grass.
