20 ships laden with petroleum products, food items to arrive Lagos


Seventeen ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos from March 24 to April 18.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication – `Shipping Position’, – a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.
NPA explained that the expected ships contained buck wheat, bulk charcoal, bulk sugar, general cargo, containers, diesel, petrol and Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) crane.
The document noted that eight ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with petrol, base oil, aviation fuel, butane, Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK).
NAN reports that 17 other ships are at the ports discharging general cargoes, bulk gypsum, diesel, bulk fertiliser, steel products, bulk gas, fuel oil and petrol.
