Don't listen if you're told you're too young to have cancer: That's what a GP assured Amy - and it almost cost her life

Amy Lewis, 32, a chartered accountant from Wetherby, West Yorkshire, only made her wedding day to Chris (pictured right) because she refused to believe her GP's view that she was 'too young' to have cancer. 

In April 2012 - six months after first seeing her GP, still not having had her colonoscopy and having lost a stone in weight - Amy burst into tears driving to work. 

That day, Amy left work early and Chris urged her to go to A&E.
