Four years after leaving his role as Managing Director of Rocket Internet’s fashion retailer, Sabunta (now JUMIA Fashion) in Nigeria, Leonard Stiegeler has risen to become the General Manager at Ringier Africa.
Stiegeler, who joined Ringier back in July 2013 as General Manager for its Nigeria operations and later as Head of Ringier West Africa was appointed to the new position of General Manager Ringier Africa in January 2016, following a restructuring of the media group’s international market set-up for the beginning of the new year.
According to the company, Mark Slade, former Head of the Digital Marketing Agency RDMin Nigeria, will take over the position as General Manager Ringier Nigeria.
In his new role, Stiegeler will be responsible for all of Ringier’s media properties and operations in Africa, including Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal and Tanzania.
