Inside the secretive Chinese iPhone factory where 50,000 pink-jacketed staff put together the must-have gadgets in a giant building the size of 90 football pitches

Dressed in pink jackets, blue hairnets and plastic slippers, the workers line up with military precision (top left) to have their ID badges scanned on an iPad by a supervisor (top right) at morning roll call at the Pegatron factory in Shanghai, China. 

From there, they make their way in single files (bottom left) to the assembly line but not before undergoing facial recognition check at security turnstiles in order to clock in (bottom right and inset).
