Thousands of Christians have gathered in Jerusalem for an ancient fire ceremony that celebrates Jesus' resurrection at the site where he was crucified, buried and resurrected.
The ceremony, which dates back 1,200 years, attracts Orthodox Christian pilgrims from across the globe. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre will undergo a major renovation once this weekend's celebration is over.
