From neat and trimmed tips to long, glittering talons: Clever video shows the last 100 years of nail art trends in just two minutes

The new clip, by Mode, takes a hand model through 11 different manicures representing the decades from 1916 to 2016. 



Starting in the early 20th century, the model shows buff, clean nails before color and length is introduced in the 1930s. The looks that follow include everything from 1970s glitter to 1990s grunge black and the neutral color with added sparkle of today.
