PSG pay tribute to Ibrahimovic as he signs off from time in France with double and lifts his 11th title in glittering career
Zlatan Ibrahimovic set a record for league goals in a single season by a Paris Saint-Germain player, saying farewell on Saturday night with a brace in a comprehensive 4-0 win over Nantes in Ligue 1.
Playing his last game at the Parc des Princes, veteran striker Ibrahimovic moved to 38 league goals for the season, taking him one ahead of Carlos Bianchi who managed 37 in the 1977-78 campaign. The match in the French capital was stopped briefly in the 10th minute as fans gave Ibrahimovic - whose PSG shirt is No. 10 - a standing ovation. He was also cheered from the field before the final whistle, holding his two sons in his arms who were wearing shirts with 'King' and 'Legend' on the back. The names were in reference to their father's 'I came like a king, left like a legend' post on social media before the game.
