Endless legroom, smoking lounges and polite chatter: Nostalgic photos from the golden age of flying reveals the glamorous journeys of the 1950s
During the golden age of flying, airline passengers looked pristine, oozing with the glamour of silver screen icons.
Ladies wore expensive pearl necklaces and dresses, men Italian suits (top left) and even children, were clad in formal wear such as bow ties (inset). This collection of colour images offers a glimpse at the halcyon days of 1950s air travel.
