President Barack Obama let loose on Donald Trump today for claiming the mantle of economic populism even though he has 'never shown any regard for workers' or fought for social justice.


In fact he 'worked against economic opportunity for workers and ordinary people,' Obama said, incredulously. Saying 'something controversial in order to win votes' does not make someone a populist, Obama protested. That's nativism, xenophobia or 'worse' - cynicism. 'I care about poor people that are really working hard to advance,' he declared.
