Mother, 42, is killed by police after shooting dead her two daughters, aged 22 and 17, in 'family dispute' that spilled onto a residential street in Texas

Christy Sheats, 42, (left) shot her daughters Madison Sheats, 17, and Taylor Sheats, 22, (main, left to right) following a family dispute that spilled out onto a residential street in Fulshear, Texas, on Friday. 


Police received an emergency call around 5pm and found daughters Taylor and Madison lying outside in the 6000 block of Remson Hollow Lane (top right). The mother was killed by a responding police officer after she refused to drop her weapon. Madison was pronounced dead on the scene, while Taylor was airlifted to the Texas Medical Center where she later died. In September 2015, Christy posted a photo of her two daughters on Facebook, calling them her 'two amazing, sweet, kind, beautiful intelligent girls' before writing: 'I love and treasure you both more than you could ever possibly know.' The husband and father was at home during the shooting. He was uninjured but taken to the hospital because he was distraught (bottom right, in red).
