Mother raised £20k for hospital after her baby son died - only to discover doctors had spent years covering up blunders that led to his death
Niki Cunningham (top) set up a charitable trust in her son Harry's name to raise funds for the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital (inset), where he died following complications at birth.
An official report into his death said staff had done everything to save the newborn (bottom). But, lawyers for the 33-year-old discovered there had been a two-hour delay in starting the emergency caesarean because staff had not wanted to disturb a doctor who was on a 30 minute phone call. The delay proved fatal and Harry died 26 hours later.
