We survived! Cambridge University emerge at dawn after celebrating the end of exams at traditional all-night May Ball

Barefoot, ties askew and ball dresses held high, the students of Trinity College clattered through the streets of Cambridge after the famous all-night event. 


The occasion is notorious for giving the young revellers a chance to celebrate the end of their exams - and on the event's 150th anniversary, it seems they went all out. Many of the women chose daring dresses with cutaway sections for the occasion, left. Others held colourful umbrellas to shield their outfits from the rain showers as they wandered through the cobbled streets, right.
