The launch of the service means the Ivorian diaspora can now send overseas money transfers to any MTN Mobile Money wallet in Cote D’Ivoire right from the comfort of their smartphones, and for far less compared to traditional money transfer service.
People in Cote D’Ivoire can receive these vital remittances on their phones instead of travelling to their nearest money transfer agent to collect cash.

Cote D’Ivoire is one of the largest and most sophisticated Mobile Money services in West Africa, with more than three million accounts.
The service allows Ivorians to securely store, send and receive money, pay for electricity and other bills, set up a savings account and access a range of other financial products, with just their phones.
The partnership with MTN Cote D’Ivoire and WorldRemit will further play a vital role in helping Ivorians access financial services, and boost economic growth and livelihoods of the people.
