Man 'had chunk bitten out of his cheek during savage late-night beating by friend of woman he called "fit as f***" as he passed her in the street'

Aaron Wanklin was walking home from a Cheltenham night club when he saw Michelle Byrne pass by and he remarked to his friend Liam Ogden how 'fit' she looked, Gloucester crown court was told. 

Byrne and her companion Christopher Wilkinson turned and followed Mr Wanklyn after he made the comment and Wilkinson then launched an attack, punching him to the ground and biting him on the face as they grappled, said prosecutor Julian Kesner. Mr Kesner alleged that Byrne, 31, joined in the assault when she could see Mr Wanklyn, a window fitter, getting the better of the fight.
