The hi-tech helmet that lets fighter jet pilots ditch night vision goggles: Striker II can project images from built in camera directly onto visor

The helmet will allow pilots of the Eurofighter Typhoon combat jet to ditch their night goggles. 


It has a high-definition, lightweight night vision camera which translates information and displays it on the helmet's visor without the need for bulky separate goggles. The helmet has also been upgraded with a colour display, and new 3D audio so pilots can hear which direction potential threats are coming from.
