Theresa May is now the new British Prime Minister as she enters Downing Street and promises to 'build a better Britain'
Theresa May is on her way to see the Queen and become Britain's second female Prime Minister.
The Home Secretary has set off for Buckingham Palace after David Cameron officially tendered her resignation. Mr Cameron said he left the country 'stronger' as he said an emotional goodbye to Downing Street. Tory MPs hoping to win a place in Mrs May's first Cabinet showered their new leader with praise today, with one declaring: 'We have our Angela Merkel'.
