Fred is the French-born restaurant manager who presides over the hugely successful Channel 4 show First Dates (top and bottom right), shepherding the lovelorn and the lonely through their dinner a deux in a televised restaurant. During his three years on the show and his decades of working in the restaurant business before that, Fred has learned a lot about love.
