What happened to Ava? Scientists reconstruct face of 18 year old farmer who died in Scottish Highlands 3,700 years - and say her mysterious 'uneven' skull may be proof of strange binding customs
Archaeologist Maya Hoole and her team have looked into the eyes of a woman who died more than 3,700 years ago.
Known as Ava, this Bronze Age woman's remains were unearthed at Achavanich in Caithness in 1987 and forensic artist Hew Morrison used her ancient skull, two-dimensional reconstruction software and stock images to create a face that hasn't been seen for thousands of years.
