BULK SMS

30 August, 2016

Ex-Coutts banker, 30, who died from a single punch after 'approaching a group of four women' on a night out texted his girlfriend to tell her he loved her just hours before attack

Oliver Dearlove (pictured), who used to work for Coutts - the Queen's banker - was assaulted in Tranquil Vale (pictured after the assault), Blackheath, in the early hours of Sunday and later pronounced dead at a hospital in east London.

Police now want to talk to four women he and four friends had talked to while out for dinner and drinks that night. His mother paid tribute to her 'perfect' son, who she said had texted his girlfriend earlier that evening to tell her that he loved her. Claire Wheatley, who he had been with for four years, said that they were planning to buy a house so that they could have a family together. Police have launched a murder investigation but no arrests have yet been made. A post mortem will be carried out on Tuesday.
