'It's like therapy': Perrie Edwards speaks out about writing the new Little Mix album.. after her painful break-up from Zayn Malik

Perrie Edwards has had a whirlwind year following her broken engagement to Zayn Malik last year. 

But the 23-year-old blonde beauty appears to be doing well, and is working on a new album with band Little Mix. 

Speaking about the new music, which she is recording alongside bandmates Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh Anne Pinnock, she described the process as 'therapeutic'.

She told Sugarscape: 'It's very - and I know we probably said this about the last album - honest. It's very what's been happening in the past few months or the past year. 

'We've been through a lot personally, emotionally and career-wise. Every aspect, we've wanted to just get off our chest and the best way to do it is with this album.

'That's why we're loving it so much. It's like therapy.'
