Someone important once said 'The last will be first'. They could have been talking about me and my exhilarating race-riding debut at Windsor on Saturday night.
OK, I didn't win. I didn't finish second or third either but I feel like a winner even though me and my gallant mount, Geoffrey Deacon-trained Moon Trip, crossed the line last of the six starters in the HEROS Charity Race over five-and-a-half furlongs. Within that result, there were a heap of significant small personal victories.
