Sylvester Stallone, 70, shows off his athletic physique in a tight purple shirt as he enjoys lunch in Beverly Hills

He rose to fame playing muscle-bound boxer Rocky Balboa.

And on Friday actor Sylvester Stallone made it clear he still works out as he stepped out to lunch at The Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills.

The 70-year-old star put on a pec-tacular display in a purple button-up, which showcased his bulging chest and taut core.

The shirt included a series of white buttons up the front, which really popped against the plum background.  

The acting legend left his cuff links at home, instead opting to fold his cuffs back to expose his large gold wristwatch and a series of gold bracelets.

Sly, who has an estimated net worth of $400 million, teamed the jazzy top with a pair of dark trousers, which hugged him in all the right places.
