Terror in Indonesia: Axe-wielding ISIS jihadi stabs a Catholic priest before trying to blow up hundreds of worshippers during Mass
Priest Albert Pandiangan (pictured, right) was holding the holy ceremony when the young fanatic launched himself at him with a knife and stabbed him in the arm on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
The knifeman (pictured, main) then tried to detonate a homemade backpack bomb but the device failed and he was then detained by the congregation and later arrested by police. Police found his ID card and a hand-drawn picture of the ISIS flag (inset) when they arrested him, marching the suspect to their vehicles with his white trousers soaked in blood (left). He was later pictured at the police station with an officer holding his bloody head off the ground, where he is lying with handcuffs on (inset). The priest suffered slight injuries and has been taken to hospital near where it happened in the city of Medan.
