With a gloriously awkward 'mullet' hairstyle made popular in the 1980s, it's hard to imagine that this little blonde teenager named Renee Zellweger from rural Texas would become the star of the blockbuster Bridget Jones movie trilogy. 


DailyMail.com has exclusively obtained never before seen images from her years at Katy High School, in a sleepy community on the outskirts of Houston - a town she still sneaks home to visit, much to the delight of local residents. As these pictures show, Renee, now 47, went from a typically awkward young teenager in 1984 in her freshman year, growing up to becoming the most gorgeous girl in school by the time she graduated.
