William and Kate were greeted by crowds of well-wishers as they stepped off the plane in the Kelowna, in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, on Tuesday afternoon.
The couple are the first royals to visit the city since Prince Charles and Princess Diana 30 years ago (inset). Prince George, three, and 16-month-old Princess Charlotte are with their nanny in Victoria, the family's base for the tour. The duke and duchess looked delighted as they watched a volleyball game at a local university (right), with Kate opting for a bespoke £2,000 Dolce & Gabbana dress for the engagement. They will later taste local delicacies at a special food fair at one of the world's best wineries.
