Pregnant mother told her conjoined twins have just a 20% chance of survival moves 1,400 miles for care at a specialist hospital
Chelsea Torres (left with three-year-old son Jaysin), 23, from Blackfoot, Idaho, was told in June that her babies were 'stuck together' during her three week scan.
Doctors revealed the chances of the twins surviving were slim and that the pregnant mother (right) and her husband, Nick, 22, should consider abortion. However, the parents refused to give up on the two little girls and moved to Houston, Texas to be closer to a specialist hospital. And their determination paid off as medical scans (inset) gave them both the all-clear and the girls, named Callie and Carter, are expected to survive.
