As part of the sustainability
measures to ensure the continuation of training of entrepreneurs on skills
acquisition and other similar trainings, Abuja Enterprise Agency is planning to
carry out skills acquisition training once in a quarter of the year with target
of 300 participants per session out of which 100 will be people living with
disabilities.
The managing
director/CEO of Abuja Enterprise Agency, Arabi Muhammad Tukur made this known
at a press briefing recently in Abuja.
He said, “The
importance of the training cannot be overemphasized as it will create the next
generation of business leaders by empowering both people living with
disabilities and others with relevant vocational skills to gain technical
know-how to operate their businesses and entrepreneurial skills.”
According to him, the
training came out of the FCT administration’s desire to build the capacity of
the residents of Abuja to start and successfully run their own businesses.
He applauded the
honourable minister of FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello for making the previous
training program a success and also commended him for supporting the
Agency as it embarks on training people living with disabilities and youths of
the Federal Capital Territory.
