Tennis player Andy Murray is crowned Sports Personality Of The Year as fellow athletes shine on the red carpet
The stars were out in force to see who would be crowned Sports Personality Of The Year 2016 on Sunday night. The hotly-anticipated event was held at Birmingham's Genting Arena on Sunday night and were seriously dressed to impress.
(L-R) Olympic gold medallist and Welsh taekwondo athlete Jade Jones pulled out all the stops in a seriously sexy red dress complete with racy thigh-split, while pregnant Amy Williams, who retired from sport in 2012 but won a gold medal as a skeleton racer, looked sensational in a long gown. Footballer and nominee Jamie Vardy was suited and booted as he cosied up to his pregnant wife Rebekah, while Olympic golden couple Laura Trott and Jason Kenny are both nominees following the announcement they are both set to be honoured in the New Year's list. Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington opted for a monochrome number, while retired British track and field athlete Jessica Ennis stunned in a black bodycon number. The winner is set to be announced at around 8:50pm.
