The African-American Film Critics Association held its annual awards show on Wednesday night in Hollywood.
And leading the celebrity red carpet were actresses Issa Rae and Garcelle Beauvais.
The ladies were a study in contrasts with their sleek fashion choices.
Beauvais, 53, chose a wrap-around long-sleeve black blouse that flashed a little cleavage.
She added flared trousers with silver sequin detailing and left her long hair loose.
Rae, 35, known for The Hate U Give and Insecure, opted for an ankle-length sleeveless dress.
The ochre number had a gold belt around the waist and she added silver sandal heels and pendant earrings.
