New one dollar female contraceptive shot in Africa

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and the Children’s Investment Fund have announced the new one dollar contraceptive injection known as Sayana Press for women in 69 developing countries. The single-use, prefilled, non-reusable device cuts the risk of infection due to needle sharing and is effective for three months.
