The likes of Apple, Samsung and HTC have been turning out new smartphones for years.
But an unlikely company is generating plenty of fizz online with rumours surrounding a new mobile.
Pepsi (yes, as in the cola ) is planning to create a phone of its own.
Several websites reported a leaked screenshot of a potential smartphone covered with the Pepsi branding.
Then the drinks giant stepped forward and confirmed the news.
"We are pleased to share that Pepsi is working with a licensing partner to bring a line of mobile phones and accessories to market in China in the next few months," confirmed a spokesperson for Pepsi.
"Available in China only, this effort is similar to recent globally licensed Pepsi products which include apparel and accessories"
The Pespi P1 will run Google's Android software and have a 5.5-inch high definition screen.
According to reports, there's a 13-megapixel camera on board (the iPhone 6s has a 12-megapixel camera) and 2GB of RAM.
The P1 is rumoured to cost only $200 (£130) but it's unlikely to see the light of day here in the UK.
Pepsi says it is planning to reveal the phone officially in Bejing on October 20.
