The governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, on Sunday, November 22, at the unveiling party of the 2015 carnival in Calabar, appointed Iyanya an ambassador to the Cross River state government. This appointment makes the Kukere singer the official face of the state. It comes with an office, an official car and a monthly salary. Iyanya announced the new job on his Instagram.
