Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3 Smartphone Wins Award

Alcatel Onetouch Idol 3 smartphone was recognized with a 2015 Good design award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Center for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.

One of the main factors for the awards selection , according to the organizers of the award is whether or not a product can enrich society and people’s lives through its design.
“We’re extremely gratified that our flagship IDOL 3 was recognized for this prestigious award,” said CW Park, Alcatel Onetouch’s Chief Designer and General Manager of the Global Design Center, adding that, “Our best design thinking went into this device and we are pleased that it has been recognized by our peers in the field.”
Developed at the company’s Global Design Center, IDOL 3 boasts unparalleled elegance thanks to a series of well-considered design choices, including a slim, 7.5 mm body.
The back contour gives the phone a slimedge, which not only looks thin but also enhances the in-hand experience
The expansive fully laminated display appears to be one complete surface when turned off, accentuating the IDOL 3’s balanced form.
The designers also paid attention to the minutest details, such as the refined casing, featuring a brushed metal frame with a dual-color diamond-cut effect, which is unique in the industry, and the fine-hairline-brushed back surface. The device comes in three colors: dark gray, metallic silver and soft gold.
IDOL 3 offers users a simpler overall product experience in a premium package. One of the most innovative aspects of the IDOL 3 is that users can answer their phone any way they like: the interface always rights itself. The 100-percent reversible interface allows users to answer calls, surf the Web, take a photo and mix tunes right-side up or upside down.
