CHAN 2016: Eagles Storm Rwanda, To Get $2,000 Bonus


NIGERIA’S ‘B’ team left South Africa this morning for Rwanda ahead of this year’s CHAN. The team will be airborne for three hours having departed at 8am local time to Kigali.

Camp sources revealed that on arrival the team will be lodged at the four-star Hill View Hotel in Kigali during the group stages of the competition.
The hotel is located in the Kiyovu district, inside the Kigali City Center and will house the Eagles for 11 days before they leave Kigali for Gisenyi where they will play their final group game against Guinea on January 26.
The team of players from the Nigerian domestic league has been training in Pretoria, South Africa since January 2 in readiness for the CHAN 2016 and have so far remained unbeaten in both competitive and friendly matches.
To propel the team to attain the ultimate goal, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced a cash bo- nus that will see the players get the sum of $2000 for
a win.

The players would earn $1000 for a draw while he technical crew will earn $4,000 for a win, and $2,000 for a draw.
Meawhile, Major sponsor of Nigeria’s national teams, Globacom, has tasked the Super Eagles’ B Team to ensure a quality representation and make Nigeria proud at the tournament. “We believe the Super Eagles will key in to the new dawn in Nigerian football at international competitions by surpassing their previous record in CHAN and emerging as the ultimate winners this time,” Globacom said in a statement in Lagos on Thursday. The next gen- eration network advised Coach Sunday Oliseh to tap into his ingenuity and evolve the right strategy that can make Nigeria rule Africa again in football.
“We are consistent in our belief in the quality of the Eagles’ coaching crew to develop a winning team in time for the champion- ship,” the statement further said, stressing, “In the same vein, we urge the Nigeria Football Federation to continue to give the team all the necessary support to aid their outing in Rwanda.
