The Management of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti, has keyed into the Treasury Single Account introduced by President Muhammadu Buhari, as part of efforts to curtail financial recklessness in the hospital.
Making the disclosure in Ido Ekiti, on Tuesday, the Chief Medical Director , Dr. Majekodunmi Ayodele, also said that a total of 1,649 workers had been promoted in the last three years by the hospital’s board.
He said further that outstanding November and December salaries, which had caused some unrest in the hospital, as well as arrears of allowances of 2014 and 2015 had been paid.
He said that a total of 971 and 678 senior and junior staff, respectively, had been promoted since he assumed office.
